was the 19th anniversary of the montreal massacre, where marc lepine shot and killed 14 women at l'ecole polytechnique. he blamed women for the failures in his life.

i was reading about sustainble forestry practices (or lack thereof) for my correspondence course, and wondered if i could see clearcut tracts on googlemaps. so i googlemapped "british columbia." it looks lush and green and beautiful (like their licence plate says:

GWB pardons his last turkey



am i totally missing something here...why is he pardoning a turkey? what did turkeys ever do wrong? if anything, shouldn't people be pardoned for killing and eating turkeys?
