it's not easy being green
i was reading about sustainble forestry practices (or lack thereof) for my correspondence course, and wondered if i could see clearcut tracts on googlemaps. so i googlemapped "british columbia." it looks lush and green and beautiful (like their licence plate says:



but closer inspection reveals...


a tiny mosaic of tan patches and green patches.

i was taking "community and ecosystem biology" for eco.ca's certificate program. i passed :)
